DERMATOPOIETIN® is a unique and exclusive active ingredient only available in EVENSWISS® skin and hair care products. It is the full equivalent of human interleukin-1 alpha, the epidermal cytokine that controls the homeostasis of skin. It affects deep skin structures without penetrating the skin by triggering a cascade of reactions which propagate from the surface of skin to its depth. When applied onto skin DERMATOPOIETIN® helps activate the skin's natural renewal process by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin as well as other factors needed for healthy skin.

EVENSWISS® products are optimized for anti-aging efficacy and should be applied twice daily in the morning and the evening.

It is our opinion that UV filters should only be applied when skin is exposed to the sun, i.e. not at night and not in-doors; especially in bad weather.

We recommend using a sun cream in addition to EVENSWISS® whenever your skin is exposed to the sun.

You can use other skin product brands with EVENSWISS® products if you apply the EVENSWISS® product first and massage it well into skin before applying the other product.

The reason for this is that the active ingredients of EVENSWISS® need to make contact with the first layer of living cells in your skin to initiate the skin's 'signaling' process. This is best achieved if EVENSWISS® is applied to untreated skin.

The combination of oily boosters and plasma results in an oil and water mixture; and the skin’s acid mantle contains sebum, ceramides, triglycerides, essential fatty acids and water which results in a hydrolipidic film that covers the surface of the skin. Nevertheless this film still allows the active ingredients contained in DERMATOPOIETIN® to penetrate.

Similar to the skin’s acid mantle, the composition of oily boosters and plasma will create a hydrolipidic barrier which speeds up the skin’s own healing process and repair but at the same time allows the active ingredients to penetrate. Moreover the natural oils in both formulations, act as a carrier for other active ingredients to penetrate into lower levels of the epidermis.

The ingredient Caprylic in the plasma formulation helps enhance the delivery of vitamins, pigments and other active ingredients contained in a solution so that they become evenly spread out and fully absorbed by the epidermis.

Skin aging and the appearance of lines and wrinkles are partly genetic ('chronological aging') and partly triggered by UV light ('photo aging'). Both mechanisms result in a loss of functional collagen and elastin in the dermis. This deficit seems to be correlated with a reduced capacity of keratinocytes in the epidermis to produce interleukin-1 alpha.

EVENSWISS®, with DERMATOPOIETIN®, compensates for this deficit and helps to replenish the skin with collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the 'foundations' of skin which are most important to a youthful and smooth appearance.

Eventone Serum targets dark spots (age or sun related), brightens skin tone and improves radiance, while rejuvenating serum reduces the appearance of wrinkles and tightens the skin.

It is recommended that you focus fully on your skin type and problem with just one product.

From a dermatological point of view, using too many products at once does not do justice to individual skin problems and can lead to a weakening of the skin barrier.

Booster No2 contains lactic acid which is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from food but which is otherwise safe to apply to our skin, (citric acid for example, is derived from citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges, etc.).

Applying AHAs in cream or lotion form is helpful in treating dry skin and encourages the skin to lose its old, dead skin cells revealing the glow of healthy skin cells hidden underneath.

A cream that contains, for instance, lactic acid and an emollient or humectant generates a two-step knockout whereby the lactic acid first thoroughly exfoliates the skin, allowing more moisture through to the new skin below. It is likely that the irritation feeling comes from this exfoliating effect.

The PH value of Booster No2 is 5.13 which means that its acidity is in line with the PH value of the skin of about 5.5

Booster No5 contains Menadione (Vitamin K3).

According to Dr. Masuda (and colleagues) from the Shiseido Research Centre, dark circles under the eyes form as a result of poor blood flow. Researchers have found that in the area of dark circles, blood flowed at a slower rate compared to the area in the cheeks. They also found more melanin production in subjects with dark under-eye circles.

Dr. Tsuyoshi Mitsuishi, the lead investigator, reported an improvement in dark under-eye circles in participants who used a topical application that contained vitamin K.

People apply vitamin K to the skin to remove spider veins, bruises, scars, stretch marks, and burns. It is also used topically to treat rosacea, a skin condition that causes redness and pimples on the face. After surgery, vitamin K is used to speed up skin healing and reduce bruising and swelling.

The irritation feeling might come from effect of Vitamin K reinforcing the blood flow under the eyes and forcing any coagulated blood to flow away.

EVENSWISS® products are formulated to avoid the use of ingredients commonly known to be irritating or allergenic, however it would be impossible to anticipate all ingredients that might provoke an allergic or irritating reaction in some users.

In order to avoid, as much as possible, these kinds of reactions it is important to use boosters together with a base or other cream in the ratio recommended in EVENSWISS® instructions. In cases of hypersensitivity EVENSWISS® recommends combining the booster in a 1:20 ratio to bases or other creams instead of 1:10.
